Scenario

Requirements project:

The client's field equipment fleet was ageing and needing a firmware upgrade to meet new regulatory requirements. It was suspected that some units might also be in need of repair.

Solution Skyzer:

Skyzer co-ordinated with the client's logistics services provider to arrange the staged retrievel of equipment from the field.

As the equipment reached the Skyzer facility, it was loaded with the client's self-diagnostic firmware and put a thorough functional test.

Any faults were repaired as they were identified, and each unit was fully refurbished with new outer mouldings and switch membranes. The latest firmware was loaded and each unit securely packaged for return to the field.

Skyzer provided detailed reporting to the client on the incidence and nature of faults, which helped identify future product reliability refinements.

The client saw an increased level of product satisfaction amongst its customers due to the improved reliability, appearance and firmware functionality delivered by the renewal programme.
