After completing an inventory assessment, we identify assets for upgrades, refresh or disposal.

The non-recoverable or BER (Beyond economic repairs) units are segregated for scrap disposal and disposed of using an approved waste recycling facility. We can provide you with a certificate of destruction and disposal if required.

Scenario

Requirements project:

The client was retiring a particular product range, and had offered its customers a new-for-old trade-in deal.

This client needed to ensure the integrity of the trade-in deal by ensuring that trade-in units were securely destroyed, as well as salvage the now obsolete parts from trade-in units so that they could be used in the repair of other units until the final end-of-life of the product.

Of particular importance to the client and its shareholders was its environmental responsibility in minimising the impact of its products on the environment.

Solution Skyzer:

Equipment was bulk-shipped to Skyzer for dismantling. All designated parts were removed, tested and packed for use by the client's repair centre.

Skyzer arranged for the separation of recyclable items such as ABS plastics, metal heatsinks and cardboard packaging materials.

All items considered to bear the client's intellectual property were destroyed securely, with destruction certificates provided to the client.
